SCUBA companies file class action suit against BP

Add the SCUBA industry to the ever expanding list of plaintiffs against BP and other corporations in the Gulf oil crisis.

Several diving companies have filed a class suit for damages including loss of business income, profits and earnings capability.

Beaches from Louisiana to the Florida panhandle have closed to divers, swimmers and visitors. Even beaches that have not been contaminated and where the water is clear have suffered significant loss of business because fears of contamination have prompted travelers to cancel bookings.

The suit was filed in Middle District of Alabama; the lead plaintiff is Adventure Sports II from Montgomery, Alabama. Defendants are BP, Haliburton and Cameron International.
