One death and one near drowning in California boat accident

A boat accident in Santa Monica, California December 9 resulted in the death of one man and the near drowning of a second man. The accident occurred when the boat capsized after striking a breakwater. The death was caused by a heart attack that struck while the victim was swimming to shore. The survivor suffered hypothermia. The accident is under investigation.
