Nearly 200 lawsuits against BP

The count of lawsuits filed by U.S. attorneys against BP PLC in the Deepwater Horizon disaster is almost 200, says the New York Times. The largest of the suits are on behalf of the 11 workers killed in the April 20 explosion. Fishermen and tourist operators are other groups that have taken legal action. Some lawyers have resorted to advertising for clients.
