Strong winds and high seas knocked a luxury fishing barge off its anchor moorings in the Gulf of Mexico Sunday. The 385-foot Fisherman’s Paradise was driven off station 15 miles from Clearwater Pass, Florida in seas higher than 13 feet. It took the four man crew about four hours to regain control of the vessel and put it back at anchor after being driven close to Indian Rocks Beach. No injuries or pollution was reported. The barge, with its three bars, spa, pool and masseuse, is used to take divers and anglers to sites throughout the Gulf and will resume charters in March.
