An ill crewmember suffering from internal bleeding was evacuated from a Panamanian flag vessel 200 miles northeast of Nassau in the Bahamas late last week.
25 year-old Chinese national Qin Qinbing was medically airlifted by Coast Guard helicopter from the container ship Jin Zhou Hai at approximately 11:30 a.m. on November 12. The rescue operation took place in 30-knot winds and 15-foot seas.
Qinbing was transported in stable condition to Nassau. Cause of his internal bleeding has not been reported.
