Recovery efforts took place earlier this week to recapture a lost barge that broke free from its tow in the Shelikof Strait southwest of Kodiak, Alaska. The 143 foot Brittaney Moe was under the tow of the tug Seahawk when it went adrift in 50 mile per hour winds and 12 foot seas Tuesday morning. It was not believed to be at risk of running aground.
