Departing BP CEO Tony Hayward will collect just over $18 million in a pay and pension package, according to the Times newspaper. Hayward has been widely ridiculed for a number of public gaffes during the Gulf oil crisis, including the infamous remark about wanting his “life back.” Reports have the official announcement of Hayward’s departure being made early this week. He will be replaced by executive Bob Dudley, a Mississippi native who is overseeing the spill response.
