A: The short answer is yes. Your employer can and may go after you with full force in order to deny you fair compensation if you're hurt on the job. One way is to go through your medical records with a fine tooth comb in order to hopefully find something, anything, which they can use to discredit you, even if it has nothing to do with your injury.
Medical records include, but are not limited to, hospital records; doctors letters and reports; chiropractor records; x-rays; CTs; MRIs; diagnostic and lab tests; injury information sheets; patient history; radiology files.
That's why it's critical that you give full disclosure to your medical history and any prescription drugs you are taking when you fill out your company paperwork.
