Woman injured in Bolivar ferry accident, files suit

A Port Arthur, TX woman has filed a personal injury suit from a car accident on the Galveston-Bolivar ferry landing. Mary MacIntoush claims that while waiting for the ferry’s arrival on April 12, Edgar Salgado of Houston twice slammed into the rear of her car. The collisions resulted in severe injuries to her back and neck, she claims, and she seeks unspecified monetary damages by jury trial in the lawsuit filed on December 1. Salgado is accused of failing to keep a proper lookout, lacking adequate control of his vehicle and ignoring the rights of other drivers. The case will be heard in Galveston County District Court.
