Will insurance companies actually film me after I’ve been hurt?

Absolutely. Just imagine: you’re at home recovering from the ruptured disc caused by the faulty winch on the vessel. Little do you know it, anytime you go outside in the yard or leave your property, the employer’s insurance company has a person filming your every move. They could be sitting in a car up the street or hiding behind the neighbor’s bushes. They’re hoping to catch you “faking it” to prove that you’re the real “bad guy” and the company is the true “victim.” Just because you may be able to stand up straight or take a few steps without collapsing in pain does not prove that you’re not unfit to work on the deck.

Filing a lawsuit gives you a lot of control in this situation and allows your attorney ways to find out if in fact you’ve been filmed.
