Well Head Cap Commemorates Deepwater Horizon victims

The cap placed over the Macondo well head a mile below the surface of the Gulf of Mexico will serve as a memorial at the final resting place of the 11 workers killed in the Deepwater Horizon explosion. Just like the ship’s bell inscribed with the 29 names from the 1975 wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald in Lake Superior, the words in the photos below will hopefully remind the world not to let their ultimate sacrifice be in vain.
