Time Magazine article: Safety a huge concern on rigs

When 60 Minutes, the New York Times or Time Magazine want to look at your employee safety record, you know it’s not to fact-find in support of an offshore association merit of worker safety award.

The headline of a Time article Monday on rig safety reads “Just How Dangerous Are Oil Rigs, Anyway?”

The article highlights a harsh world of 12 hour working days for 14 day stretches where incidents lead to high consequences such as the Transocean Deepwater Horizon explosion April 20.
