Three Ways You Can Prevent a Commercial Diving Accident

Sometimes a commercial diving accident happens and there is little that could have been done to prevent it.  Other times, however, certain actions could have been taken that would have helped avoid the tragic dive accident.

If you are a commercial diver, there are some things you can do to protect yourself during a dive.  First and foremost, you need to educate yourself regarding the factors that can lead to serious injuries or death during a dive.  For example, you should be aware that some of the common causes of diving accidents include untrained crewmembers, poorly maintained equipment and underwater explosions.

As a diver, you need to speak up when you recognize a dangerous situation.  Failing to tell your supervisor could result in a serious dive accident.

A job hazard analysis should always be conducted to identify any possible risks.  These risks need to be addressed appropriately to ensure your safety.

If you or a loved one has been injured in a diving accident, contact a diving injury lawyer at the Law Offices of Vujasinovic & Beckcom, P.L.L.C. at 713.224.7800 or 877.724.7800 today.
