Texas workers concerned over lack of safety procedures at job sites

According to an article in the Houston Chronicle, a non-profit group in Texas is helping to advocate for more OSHA oversight.  A representative with The Workers Defense Project said that the group has been overwhelmed wit the number of complaints from workers who are not given the proper safety equipment, are not getting properly paid for the work they do, or who are injured at work but don't receive the proper medical care.

The Workers Defense Project and the University of Texas arranged 142 work boots at a news conference (since the news conference, two more work-related death occurred), to represent the number of lives that had been taken in work-related accidents.

If you or someone you know has suffered a maritime injury while working on the job, contact maritime construction accident injury lawyer Brian Beckcom immediately at 877.724.7800.
