Teen killed in Virginia towing accident

A 13-year old boy died in a James River, Virginia boating accident last month. The boy and his dad were fishing in their 19-foot boat on a Sunday morning when they collided with a Sea Tow vessel 50 feet north of the James River Bridge on October 17. The boy died on impact and was officially pronounced dead upon being taken to an area hospital. His father and the tow boat pilot were thrown into the water, taken by ambulance and treated for minor injuries at the hospital. The Coast Guard has not yet determined who was at fault in the accident.
