One of the leading examples of back injury misdiagnosis

Don’t accept at face value what the company doctor tells you caused your back problem. The cause of back pain is one of the most commonly misdiagnosed events by medical providers. Sometimes the cause isn’t in the back at all, it’s in the legs.

For example, peripheral vascular disease (PVD) is one such problem often overlooked as the cause of back pain. PVD is a cardiovascular complication that can result from a history of heavy smoking oR diabetes mellitus that results in severe leg pain that can shoot into the lower back region. PVD can flare up during exercise or lifting so it is sometimes mistakenly assumed to be related to a previous back injury when in fact the injury has nothing to do with it.

Physicians have tools at their disposal to pinpoint the real cause of your affliction. The Edinburgh Claudication medical questionnaire can eliminate the wrong complications through a process of elimination. Moreover, ABI testing  is a process of monitoring the arterial pulses through blood pressure and Doppler.

If you have back difficulty, ask your doctor to provide the Edinburgh Claudication and conduct ABI testing.
