Those companies are the respective owner and operator of the Deepwater Horizon platform off of Louisiana which exploded and sank this week.

A suit was filed Friday in Harris County, Texas on behalf of Karl Kelppinger Jr.  Thursday, the family of missing worker Shane Rosto filed a claim for negligence and failure to follow federal regulations in the Eastern District of Louisiana court.

The Coast Guard halted its three day search Friday for the 11 missing workers. Agency officials stated they believe those persons did not make it off the platform alive.
