Mariner files $5 million suit for improper lighting after slip and fall

Phil Guilbeau Offshore has been hit with a $5 million lawsuit after an employee allegedly slipped on the vessel because of improper lighting.

John Therrell, Galveston TX, claims severe injuries to both legs, lower back and hip from a fall he took on the vessel John Lucas. Therrell charges he slipped on pooled water on the deck while boarding the vessel which was moored to the dock.

He also seeks lost wages, medical expenses and compensation for mental anguish.

The suit was filed in Jefferson County (TX) District Court.
