Since 2008 there have at least 75 personal injury claims filed against Houston based Hercules Offshore, a marine services company. 23 were filed in 2008, 40 in 2009 and 12 in 2010. Mind you, these are just personal injury and there is a number of limitation of liability cases as well. Many of the cases are Jones Act filings that involved mariners injured on unseaworthy vessels that failed to provide a safe working place.
