In other words, you face too many possibilities, so choosing anything seems scary. Here is a quote from the back blurb of Schwartz's book that sums up the message: "We assume that more choice means better options and greater satisfaction. But be aware of choice overload: it can make you question decisions you make before you even make them, it can set you up for unrealistically high expectations, and it can make you blame yourself for any and all failures."
This "truth" about life manifests practically every time you make a choice, whether it's about what websites to visit during your morning "click around," what books to read, who to date, or how to pick a qualified Alabama maritime lawyer.
