Entergy Louisiana hit by lawsuit over explosion

Entergy Louisiana, LLC is being sued for property damage allegedly caused by a transformer explosion.

Baronne Development No. 2 charges that the Entergy owned equipment exploded and caused extensive damage on their property in New Orleans, the Louisiana Record reports.

The transformer equipment was reportedly installed in 1983 by New Orleans Public Service, Inc. which was to be responsible for maintenance before Entergy took over the equipment in 2007.

Baronne is a property holding company in Jefferson Parish. It seeks damages for injuries and costs in connection with the explosion.
